Huddle / Week of August 11, 2019

Onelifechurch   -

Huddle time is an opportunity for you to connect to each other and grow in faith. The below questions are just a resource for you to use or start from. Don’t feel like you have to use them all or rush through good discussion.

Huddle 8/11/19:

Preparation for the “Centered” series

Talk about a major transition in your life.  What did it look like?

What were the things that changed for you?

What things got better? What things got worse?

Was prayer a component of this change for you?

What did your prayers sound like?

How have the mass shootings in recent years affected you? How did 9-11 affect you?

Bret talked about “Pivotal prayer.”

What does “pivotal prayer” look like to you?  Can you think of a time in your life when you prayed a pivotal prayer?

Read Daniel 9:1-23

What are the components that stand out to you in this prayer?

What words are repeated throughout this passage?

What does this teach us about Daniel?

Consider praying this prayer every day from now up to the Centered series.

How can we transition from blaming others in times of crisis to being humble about what we can do?

What is one thing you can do to deepen your understanding of Scripture?

What does it look like to commit to purposeful prayer in the coming weeks?

Who is your “enemy?”  What can we commit to as a group or team to pray for our enemy?

Daniel fast: Sept 30-Oct 20th.

[Oct 20 – December 1 is a new series called “Centered.” Prayerful preparation is highly encouraged.}

These are great questions and can be used one at a time, or one from each section even if time is short. Most importantly if used consistently, then people will be conscious of starting to develop the habits and lifestyle of becoming a disciple.

How have you seen God working in your life in the last week; through successes, failures or disappointments?

Share with me what or who you are praying for and why.
What are you and your team/group members praying for?
At what moment did you feel closest to Christ this week?

Catch me up on scriptures you’re reading.
What is God teaching you through His word and how are you responding?
What scriptures speak to your “made for this”?
What scriptures are you struggling to understand?
What scriptures are you understanding, yet struggling to apply?

How did the Lord use you to show His love this week:
In your family, team, group, or workplace?
In your everyday interaction with others?
Who are you helping to trust and follow Jesus?
What are your plans for next week in the areas of: prayer, bible study and sharing Christ’s love?
