Discuss your results. What were your top three? Did they surprise you? Has anyone ever affirmed any of these gifts in you? Where do you see God using you currently or in the past in these ways?
Read: Romans 12:3-8 & 1 Corinthians 12:12-20
After reading these passages, what stands out to you about spiritual gifts?
Does this make you think differently about being a part of the family of God?
Read: 1 Corinthians 13:1-3
These passages tell us that love is the ultimate motivator that gives our gifts and faith meaning. It is the power behind them.
If you remove love from the equation, what are you left with?
Have you ever received a gift that was given out of obligation instead of love?
Read: John 13:34-35
Jesus teaches that when we love each other as He has loved us, all people will know that we are His disciples.
Prayers:
Pray that God would give you the wisdom to recognize and use your spiritual gift to build up the Church.
Pray that Christ-like love would be your ultimate motivation as you serve.
Pray that, as a group and for One Life as a church, that we would love one another as Christ has loved us and through that more people would come to know Jesus.s
