Scripture: Ephesians 1:3-6
3Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. 4For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love 5he predestined us for adoption to sonshipthrough Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will— 6to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves.
Questions for Reflection:
Paul opens his letter to the church at Ephesus by celebrating who God is and what He has done for us. According to this passage, how has God blessed us? Is it hard to fathom that God not only has forgiven you, but that He chose you? He didn’t just merely choose you for salvation (which would be great in and of itself), but He has chosen you for His family. You have been adopted. How has this radical, pursuing love shaped you? Spend time in worship today. Worship is nothing more than praising God for who He is and what He has done for you.
