Huddle time is an opportunity for you to connect to each other and grow in faith. The below questions are just a resource for you to use or start from. Don’t feel like you have to use them all or rush through good discussion
What type of event or area of your life are you most likely to invite someone to and why?
Share stories: Were you first invited by someone else to check out a church service or Christian community? Have you ever invited someone to a church service or to a group? How did it go?
Read: Luke 5:27-32
How were the Jewish tax collectors perceived and treated in Jesus’ day?
Why did Levi throw a huge banquet for Jesus and invite all of his friends?
How was Jesus perceived for eating with Tax collectors?
Jesus said, “I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”
What is the difference in repentance and just feeling bad or saying sorry?
On Sunday Ben read passages where Jesus touched someone with leprosy, forgave and then healed a paralytic man and intentionally hung out with people that their culture reviled and rejected. How does this add to our understanding of who God is and Jesus’ mission?
Does is challenge you in any way as a follower of Jesus?
What is the most challenging part of doing life with people who are different, have different lifestyles or have different views than us?
How often do you eat with or do life with people outside of your immediate family?
When was the last time you invited someone new into an area of your life?
When you think about sharing your faith, what comes to mind? What are some ways you share your faith with others or others have shared their faith with you? How does relationship play a role? What are the biggest challenges in our culture?
Have you ever considered the role of the Holy Spirit in this?
Have you ever felt drawn to or encouraged to talk to a specific person?
Is there anyone God is putting on your heart to invite to The/Your Table?
