Class Descriptions

Weekly Huddle with Pastor Bret Nicholson

Meets at East Campus

This group focuses on discussion around the weekly One Life message. It’s a great place to come meet people and learn a little more about the sermon topic.

Core Facts with Dr. Braxton Hunter

meets at East Campus

This class is taught by the author of the book “Core Facts”. Dr. Hunter will delve deeper into the topics presented in the book. This is a great class for anyone interested in learning more about apologetics and reasons to believe the truth of Christianity.

Shadows of Christ in the Old Testament with Karen Kizlin

meets at East Campus

The Bible is a book unlike any other, with depth of meaning in every verse. There are shadows of Christ hidden for us to discover. In this class we will go on a treasure hunt to see what we can uncover in the pages of the Old Testament. Proverbs 25:2 says, “It is the glory of God to conceal a matter; to search out a matter is the glory of kings.” It is glorious when we go on a search and see Jesus standing on every page of the Bible.

How to Read the Bible with Dan Gross

meets at East Campus

Daily reflection on Scripture is considered the number one way people move closer to God. The problem for many of us is that the Bible is confusing, archaic, and even boring. This class seeks to remove those barriers.

Book of Matthew with Jason McCord

meets at West Campus

This class is an introduction to the book of Matthew where we will take off the 21st century glasses we tend to have on when interpreting the Bible. We will look at this first gospel of Jesus and gain new perspectives and confidence in our understanding of who Jesus was and is.

Women’s Bible Discussion with Tiffany Miller

meets at West Campus

Beginning with the Book of Ruth, we will explore the characters and the situations they were met with. Together we will discuss, through the story, our own experiences, examples, and situations we find ourselves in from time to time.
