3.8.20 Huddle- Henderson
Huddle Notes – Henderson Vision Day
Intro: Throughout the Travel Log series we have been discussing what it looks like to live a life marked by mission and meaning. As we have explored that idea, we have landed on this idea of uniqueness.
- We all have unique strengths.
- We all have unique experiences.
- We have all endured unique hardships.
Points of Emphasis
- Through your uniqueness you have a one of a kind access to the world around you. No one else in the world has the same combination of experience, skills, and sphere of influence as you do.
- Your mission is to glorify Jesus through your words and deeds and share His words and deeds with others by leveraging this uniqueness to influence the world around you.
- During the teaching this morning, the Henderson staff team introduced the concept of “multiplication of influence.”
DISCUSSION QUESTIONS
INDIVIDUAL INFLUENCE
- Where in Scripture can we see specific examples of Jesus multiplying His influence to others?
- What does the phrase “multiplication of influence” look like in practice to you individually?
- Who in your life do you feel has intentionally multiplied their influence to develop you? How did they do this?
GROUP/TEAM INFLUENCE
- What does this phrase look like in the context of your Group/Team? How can you and your Group/Team be intentional about multiplying your collective influence to others?
- If we, as a Group/Team, effectively multiply our collective influence to those around us, what implications does this have on One Life Church – Henderson? What implications does this have on the city of Henderson?
EXERCISE
- Spend time as a Group/Team compiling a list of people in your individual spheres of influence that you can invite into this environment of “radical belonging.” Spend time as a Group praying together for these names.
- What intentional steps can you take as individuals OR as a collective Group/Team to help the names you listed find their seat at the table?
PRACTICE
- Throughout this week, spend time praying for the names you and your Group/Team compiled. .
- Make an intentional effort to act upon the steps you collectively identified as a Group/Team to bring these people into your sphere of influence, and report back to your Group/Team the following week. .
- The final component of “multiplication of influence” discussed during the teaching portion on Sunday involved multiplication of campus influence. Pray about what this looks like for One Life Church – Henderson in Madisonville and the surrounding areas, and the implications this has on our vision of “planting churches devoted to changing the secular worldview of the next generation?”
