Huddle / Soundtrack: Part 1

Onelifechurch   -

Huddle time is an opportunity for you to connect to each other and grow in faith. The below questions are just a resource for you to use or start from. Don’t feel like you have to use them all or rush through good discussion.

Soundtrack (Part 1) 6/16/19:

Give an example of when you acted like someone who wasn’t your genuine self. (examples:  you acted like you knew what someone was talking about when they referenced a particular book; you told your boss you could take on a particular project and you had no idea what you were doing).

How does worship reveal your genuine self?

For an overview of I Samuel:

Read I Samuel 13:14 –

David was a man after God’s own heart.

What does this mean?

Read: I Samuel 16

What does a “type of Christ” mean?  Why is David a “type of Christ?”

How is David a portrait of worship?

Why is worship a matter of the heart?

Read Psalm 139

What means the most to you about this passage?

Does it comfort you or make you nervous that God knows everything about you?

What does God see when he looks at the real you?

What things can bring you closer to the heart of worship?

These are great questions and can be used one at a time, or one from each section even if time is short. Most importantly if used consistently, then people will be conscious of starting to develop the habits and lifestyle of becoming a disciple.
