Huddle / Week of March 24, 2019

Onelifechurch   -

Huddle time is an opportunity for you to connect to each other and grow in faith. The below questions are just a resource for you to use or start from. Don’t feel like you have to use them all or rush through good discussion

What has been one of your favorite Spring Break trips you’ve taken?

Read Matthew 10:1-8

  • What does this tell us about God?
  • What would you do if you were told to go heal the sick? Would you be like Bret and start out with something small to test it out, or go for something big right away?
  • What’s one word or phrase that sticks out to you in this passage of scripture? Share it with one other person in your group and discuss.

Read the Commision Statement we read at the end of the service. (Again)

Because of who Jesus is and what he has done:

I am a deeply loved child of God.

I am a citizen of the kingdom of God.

I am an ambassador of the kingdom of God

Therefore, I will accept the assignment of the Kingdom of God – which is to love my neighbor as myself.

Lord, empower me to love well. Give me the wisdom to bring your shalom to the people of my city.

This week focus on that word Ambassador.

AMBASSADOR: an accredited diplomat sent by a country as its official representative to a foreign country.

Where in your week do you have the opportunity to see yourself as an ambassador? Where are you ‘sent’ each week?

What has been some of your favorite memories from City Serve Day?

EASY DISCIPLESHIP QUESTIONS

These are great questions and can be used one at a time, or one from each section even if time is short. Most importantly if used consistently, then people will be conscious of starting to develop the habits and lifestyle of becoming a disciple.

CONNECTING TO GOD:
How have you seen God working in your life in the last week; through successes, failures or disappointments?

Share with me what or who you are praying for and why.
What are you and your team/group members praying for?
At what moment did you feel closest to Christ this week?

CONNECTING TO SCRIPTURE:
Catch me up on scriptures you’re reading.
What is God teaching you through His word and how are you responding?
What scriptures speak to your “made for this”?
What scriptures are you struggling to understand?
What scriptures are you understanding, yet struggling to apply?

CONNECTING TO OTHERS:
How did the Lord use you to show His love this week:
In your family, team, group, or workplace?
In your everyday interaction with others?
Who are you helping to trust and follow Jesus?
What are your plans for next week in the areas of: prayer, bible study and sharing Christ’s love?
