Huddle // Build: Part 5

Onelifechurch   -

Huddle time is an opportunity for you to connect to each other and grow in faith. The below questions are just a resource for you to use or start from. Don’t feel like you have to use them all or rush through good discussion

How did you get connected to a group or team at One Life?

Was it an easy or challenging process?

What is something you have learned by being involved in a group or team?

Read Galatians 6:9-10

Have you ever tried to do something good and the response (harvest) that you expected did not happen the way you thought it would?

Did it make you weary of doing good? Have you ever experienced that?

Do you ever try to control outcomes or is giving things over to God’s hands easy for you?

Paul talks about doing good to all people and especially the family of believers.

Read John 13:34-35

How does Jesus’ command to his disciples add understanding to Paul’s teaching on loving the family of believers?

Read Galatians 2:19-21

Have you ever thought that you were earning your righteousness by following rules or doing good? Did it make you feel good about yourself, did you ever feel like you were failing God or a combination of both?

When Paul talks about living as a new creation, by faith in Jesus who loved us and gave himself up for us, he says it is no longer he who lives but Christ who lives in him.

Talk about that statement for a moment.

How does this passage change the idea of following rules (the law) to earn our righteousness?

In his message Pastor Bret asked everyone to imagine being taken to Paradise, walking around with Jesus, and seeing your name at a table meaning your spot is sealed. He then tells you to return with the mission of Galatians 6:10.

How would that affect how you see all people?

What is one way that you have felt loved or experienced the love of Christ through other believers?

Pray as a team:

Thanks Jesus for the free gift of grace and forgiveness. Thank Him that he has made a way for us to be part of the family of believers.

Pray that we would be more aware of His presence in our lives and that He would live through us more than ever.

Pray that our lives and our group would be a reflection of God’s love for us to all people and especially those of the family of believers.

EASY DISCIPLESHIP QUESTIONS

CONNECTING TO SCRIPTURE:
Catch me up on scriptures you’re reading.
