Huddle // Build: Part 1
Huddle time is an opportunity for you to connect to each other and grow in faith. The below questions are just a resource for you to use or start from. Don’t feel like you have to use them all or rush through good discussion
Where would you build your dream house and what would be the non-negotiables that come with the house?
Do you consider yourself a mountain person or a beach person?
Are you more solitary or social?
What does it mean to build a great life?
What are the ingredients of a great life and how does the Gospel impact them?
The primary ingredient of a house is the foundation.
Foundation definition – the load bearing portion of the structure typically built below ground.
We all have things in our life that serve as our foundation.
What are common foundations people in our society typically build their lives on?
What foundation do you build your life on?
Read Philippians 1:19-26
Have you ever been in a life threatening situation?
What are the things that go through your mind in those times?
What advice would you give to someone who came to you with a challenge in their life that creates immense suffering (anxiety, stress, concern, sickness, etc…)
In practical ways, how would a person who “has built their foundation on Jesus” perceive sufferings, pain, life threatening situations, etc… If someone were to “perfectly” follow Jesus, what would their life look like in the midst of these stressful times?
How did we see Jesus process pain, suffering and death?
What are steps you can take, in your walk with Jesus, to process death and suffering like Paul and/or Jesus?
