Huddle // The Table Week 1
Huddle time is an opportunity for you to connect to each other and grow in faith. The below questions are just a resource for you to use or start from. Don’t feel like you have to use them all or rush through good discussion
Have you ever been the “new kid at school” and had to figure out where to sit? Or gone to a movie, restaurant, or theme park alone? How did you handle that?
Bret said the church is supposed to be “do unto others as God has done for you in Christ.”
What has the Church been for you in your past that may have shaped that view or a different one?
Have you ever experienced that in the church? Or have you had the opposite?
Read 2 Samuel 9:1-13
As you re-read this, put yourselves in the mind of Mephibosheth— imagine how you would feel and what it would mean to you.
We talked about the shadow effect, what are other things you see in this passage that shows what Christ has done for us?
How do you think David’s sons felt about Mephibosheth at the table?
We are all Mephibosheth. We are all unable to get ourselves before God. If we identify ourselves that way, how should that change how we view ourselves and how we view others?
