Huddle // Mixtape Week 4

One Life Network   -

Huddle time is an opportunity for you to connect to each other and grow in faith. The below questions are just a resource for you to use or start from. Don’t feel like you have to use them all or rush through good discussion

Read Psalm 18 as a group.
What are some of the reasons that we would say we love someone?
In the first verse David says that he loves the Lord.
Is that a foreign idea, a reality to your life or something you are still figuring out?
What are some reasons you love the Lord?
Why is He worthy of our love?
What are some barriers people might have to saying “I love you Lord”?
Bret talked about the Psalm having 3 layers of meaning.

What was the original writer, David, trying to say?

How does the title of the Psalm add deeper meaning when you
think about why David wrote it and what he went through?
Title: For the director of music. Of David the servant of the Lord. He sang to the Lord the words of this song when the Lord delivered him from the hand of all his enemies and from the hand of Saul.

Jesus communicated that the Old Testament writings were about Himself.

Do you read, pray or think about this Psalm differently in light of who Jesus is and what He accomplished for His people? Do you see language about God’s saving Grace in the Psalm?

This Psalm title says “For the director of music”. This means that it is for the people.

Do any of the verses in this Psalm relate to you either where you are right now, or where you have been in the past? How can we pray this Psalm over each other and the members of One Life Church as a whole?
Continue to pray the Psalms together and remind each other to be reading the Psalms throughout the week.
