What is one of the best gift you’ve received at Christmas? What’s one of the best gifts you’ve given at Christmas?
What’s something new you’re learning about the Christmas Story that you hadn’t thought of before?
What’s a question you’ve always had about Christmas that you still don’t know the answer to? As a group- Discuss some some possibilities or how you can find some?
Read Luke 2:21-35
What do you think of when you hear the word promise?
Simeon was a devout and righteous who believed that God would fulfill His promise. When he sees Jesus he reacts with a prayer and worship.
How do you respond when you see God fulfill something in your own life?
We celebrate Jesus at Christmas as being the fulfillment of a promise by God to reconnect us to Him. We know the rest of the story of how that promise is completely fulfilled in the death and resurrection of Jesus.
Take some time and pray with each other and thank God for the promises He keeps and the ways he shows up in our lives.
