Because 50 Day 26
Scripture Reading: John 4:39-42
39Many of the Samaritans from that town believed in him because of the woman’s testimony, “He told me everything I ever did.” 40So when the Samaritans came to him, they urged him to stay with them, and he stayed two days. 41And because of his words many more became believers.
42They said to the woman, “We no longer believe just because of what you said; now we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this man really is the Savior of the world.”
Today’s Prayer:
God, use my life, use my story, to help others experience Jesus.
Going Deeper:
The Samaritan woman went into her community sharing with them about what Jesus had done in her life. What was it that she told the other Samaritans? How did they respond to her message? What was it that convinced them to believe?
The woman’s story created an interest; Jesus’ story changed their lives. The woman at the well could not save anyone from their pain, their hurts or their sins, but she could point them to the one person who could. Our lives should serve as a testimony of what God has done in our life, so that we can help people where they are. One of my favorite stories that we’ve told at One Life is Jeremy Evans’ story.
