Scripture Reading: Ephesians 6:18-20
18And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. 19Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel,20for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.
Questions for Reflection:
Paul asked the church at Ephesus to pray for him. Why would he do that? What do you think the impact was on Paul knowing that the church at Ephesus was praying for him? What do you think the impact on the church at Ephesus was as they prayed for Paul? When we pray for others, we join with them in their triumphs and in their struggles. When we pray for others, we cultivate a heart for them.
Who do you pray for on a consistent basis? Here’s the challenge for the rest of this week (and beyond): Pray for those that God has placed in your life. Specifically, pray for those who serve as spiritual leaders for you. Pray for Bret as he teaches and leads One Life. Pray for your campus pastors. Pray for the leaders of your team. Ask God to work in and through them to accomplish His purpose in their lives.
