Scripture Reading: 1 Peter 4:1-2, 8
1Therefore, since Christ suffered in his body, arm yourselves also with the same attitude, because whoever suffers in the body is done with sin. 2As a result, they do not live the rest of their earthly lives for evil human desires, but rather for the will of God… 8Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.
Questions for Reflection:
On Sunday, Ryan introduced us to the “emotional jug.” In our relationships, we are faced with either dealing with our feeling of madness, sadness, or scaredness or developing an attitude of indifference. Peter instructs us to develop a different attitude. Whose example does he instruct us to follow. He reminds us that our view cannot just be this world. As followers of Jesus, we should be looking for ways to glorify God. What are ways that you can glorify God in your relationships? What’s the final reminder that Peter gives his readers in this passage? How can you put this principle into action in your life today?
