Ben did a great job of defining what the Gospel is.

What is that definition he used?
(The Gospel is: The beautiful, true-life story of God’s Pursuit and God’s Provision)

How does that definition speak to your personal experience?

Read Acts 19:23-28  (pay attention to what is happening and the goldsmith’s reasoning for this happening)

Ben answered the question, What happens when the Gospel arrives? with 2 answers…

Culture in impacted

Changes the religious and moral landscape
Changes economic landscape

Changes Identity

The Gospel is not behavior modification, but identity modification.

In your experience, how has the religious and moral landscape of your own life changed because of the Gospel?  And what were the costs, if any, associated with the change?

For those who are believers, what were some components of identity change you experienced?  In your experience what are the major challenges with an identity shift?

Anytime the Gospel is received, there is a level of boldness that is required because of some of the changes taking place.  A true shift in identity can be a very painful process that requires boldness for us to become who God has called us to be, but also to fulfill our purpose in this life.  That purpose is to share this gospel message with others.

What are your initial thoughts/feelings when you heard Ben say there are 3 billion people in over 6500 people groups with no access to the Gospel?  Knowing the impact the Gospel has had in your life and there are that many people in our world who have no idea about the true nature of Jesus.

As a team, create a plan of action on intentionally taking the Gospel message to a person, or people, who have never heard it before.
