Scripture Reading: Ephesians 6:13-15
13Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.
Questions for Reflection:
Paul uses the imagery of the armor of God to remind the church at Ephesus about what they had received from God. What three elements of his teaching does Paul remind them of in this portion of the passage? When Paul says truth, what do you think he was talking about? What is truth? In an increasingly post-modern culture that says truth is relative, how can you know the truth? How can having a firm understanding of truth help you stand your ground?
