Scripture Reading: Philippians 1:9-11
9And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, 10so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, 11filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory and praise of God.
Questions for Reflection:
What did Paul pray for the Philippians? Why did he want them to grow in knowledge and depth of insight? According to verse 11, where does the fruit of righteousness come from? How is it helpful to know that your righteousness comes through Jesus Christ rather than through your own effort or performance?
Are you the member of a Growth Group or Mission Team? At One Life, we believe the “it” in life is doing God’s will with people that you love. If you are on a team or in a group, pray this prayer for your group or team today. If you are not on a group or team yet, pray that God would give you the opportunity to grow in Christian community.
