Scripture: Colossians 2:6-7
6So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, 7rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.
Questions for Reflection:
The idea that Paul wants us to grow in Christ together is not unique to Ephesians. When he wrote to the church at Colossae, he challenged them to be “built up in him.” What does it mean to be built up in him? What strengthened the faith of the church? What was the fruit of their relationship?
In America, it may be easy to admit our need to receive Christ Jesus as Lord. Is it easy to “continue to live your lives in him”? Why or why not? What is challenging about it? What challenges are you facing presently that are hindering you from doing that full-on? Spend time in prayer asking God for strength and wisdom in how to live out your faith.
