Because 50 Day 48
We Worship Extravagantly Because of His power there is nothing that can separate us from His love.
Todays Prayer: That we would all become convinced of the love of God and His power to keep us in his love.
Today’s Scripture:
Psalm 52:8, “But I am like an olive tree, flourishing in the house of God; I trust in God’s unfailing love for ever and ever.”
Romans 8:38-39, “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, no anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Reflecting on Scripture:
1. Do you have ongoing uncertainty in your identity as a Christian? Why do think that is? If you are secure in your identity are you sharing and helping others step into that same certainty?
2. An important tip in reading Scripture is to read around the verse you are studying. Ideally at least one paragraph before and one paragraph after. In Romans 8:37, the verse before today’s passage, it says, “No, in all these things we are more than conquerers through him who loves us.” What are ‘all these things’? You can find them in verses 8:35-36. How does knowing that God is with you through all of those things and that you are a conquerer of them, change your view of today?
