Scripture Reading: Proverbs 14:17, 29; 15:1, 18
17A man of quick temper acts foolishly, and a man of evil devices is hated.
29Whoever is slow to anger has great understanding, but he who has a hasty temper exalts folly.
1 A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.

18 A hot-tempered man stirs up strife, but he who is slow to anger quiets contention.

Questions for Reflection:

We’ve been learning together about how we can follow the “model” that Paul laid out for our families. Too often in our families, particularly in our marriages, we fight. Yesterday we were challenged that instead of fighting in our marriages, we should fight for our miarriages.

The Bible speaks often to how we handle anger. Solomon, the wisest man to ever live, gives some principles for dealing with anger in Proverbs. Read through the verses above. What do you learn about how you handle anger from reading these verses? What changes should happen in your life with regards to how you handle anger?
