Scripture Reading: Proverbs 12:11, 14, 24, 27
11Those who work their land will have abundant food, but those who chase fantasies have no sense.
14From the fruit of their lips people are filled with good things, and the work of their hands brings them reward.

24Diligent hands will rule, but laziness ends in forced labor.

27The lazy do not roastany game, but the diligent feed on the riches of the hunt.

Questions for Reflection:

Solomon was the wisest man to ever live. Many of his proverbs impart wisdom about how we work. According to the verses above, what principles can you draw about how you work? Many people in our culture want the rewards from hard work without necessarily putting in the hard work. We see this in everything from the workplace to working out. Solomon says that diligent workers will receive the rewards for their work. Have you seen this principle played out in your life? How can you become more diligent in your work? Is there ways that you can bring a better effort to your work?
