Assuming You are Happy and You Know It

Dan Sullivan   -

I will bless the Lord at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul makes its boast in the Lord; let the humble hear and be glad. Oh, magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together! I sought the Lord, and he answered me and delivered me from all my fears. Those who look to him are radiant, and their faces shall never be ashamed.

Yesterday we had things like “Praise is fitting for the upright” and today we have “let the humble hear (boasts in the Lord and praise) and be glad”
You kind of get the idea that if our souls are saved, we should inform our faces! Rejoicing and gladness are the overflow of what God has done for us. As we think about those things, we want to magnify the name of the Lord and bring Him as much credit for everything good that we possibly can!
I sought the Lord, and He answered me! That was a testimony from Hagar, from Moses, from David, from the Samaritan woman at the well, and from many of us since. If Paul is right when he says “Whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved,” then that is a testimony from all of us.
Let us look to Him who saved us. Let us look at His great salvation and let out a smile and a cheer. No need for grumbling and complaining or looking for bad news. Jesus has overcome the most difficult thing of all – Death, and made us righteous by destoring the power of the second most difficult thing of all – Sin.
Let the humble hear and be glad.
Enjoy your salvation with a big goofy smile today. Don’t be ashamed. Practice being radiant as you look to Him.
